I thought that this documentary did a good job of highlighting both the problems and the revitalization. There of course are many shots of abandoned building that are falling apart. It also made the point that young white hipsters are coming to the city and creating some revitalization. It seems that the people within the city are doing more to revitalize it than the people outside and community is very important. I think that art and creativity are key to the future of detroit. I agree with Liz that this it is good how people from within the city are working to revitalize as opposed to external people and groups. I just hope that as this revitalization happens it doesn't turn into pure gentrification.
