Detroit's Progress Towards Making a Comeback

This article is not only about the recent success of the Lions and Tigers but also talks about how Detroit is having success in making a comeback. Unemployment has fallen by 1.5 percentage points since July 2010, which is a larger drop than all but 3 other states and is down from a peak of 14% in 2009. Housing prices have increased because young buyers are taking advantage of the bargains in the suburbs and the city. The big three auto companies are gaining market share, and Ford is now outselling Toyota. The auto companies are also creating more local jobs by increasing their demand on local automotive products.
