  1. I understand where banks are coming from. Knocking houses down instead of constantly fixing them up is easier. With the declining property values, continually placing time and effort into housing upkeep is not worth it. Also, demolition would eliminate the attention that is continually placed on correcting housing dangers, as well as the energy that goes into responding to nuisances that the properties cause.
