Getting out of the K bubble

Getting out and exploring the home market in Kzoo was very interesting.  It definitely is very shocking how many homes are run down and are considered "low income".  What does the city of Kalamazoo need to do to change this image?  Does this housing market scare people away from the city?

  1. Problems with the housing market combined with issues of poverty and budgetary constraints that Kalamazoo faces makes for a pretty bad one-two punch. Changing the image will probably require a decent wait coupled with an improving economy.

  2. It sounds like you guys ran into a lot of similar houses on your adventures as we did. Crazy to think that all of this is happening so close to us
