This is an interesting link that talks about what majority of Americans are spending their money on. Housing is the largest expense accounting for more than a third of Americans' expenses.
As prof. McKinney said, housing is the most expensive investment that most American citizens make in their lives. So I guess it's logical. I wonder if health care has any relation to the kind of houses people buy... At this point, I don't think people pay that much attention to heath insurance to relatively affect their housing decisions.
