  1. I am not surprised that housing growth is concentrated to large cities. As we have learned they are more efficient are offer more jobs. I think growth in the United States for years to come will be concentrated in these large cites.

  2. In some respects these locations surprised me, but in other ways they didn't. Large cities are hubs. Texas didn’t surprise me; the state is home to a large number of fortune 500 companies. California is sort of a surprise because you hear so much about the financial hardship the state is facing.

  3. As you both have already said the big cities are subject to housing growth. This is not surprising as professor McKinney has said numerous times in class that the cities have more services to offer people, which gives an incentive for people to want to buy homes in the cities.

  4. Places have been shrinking around the world and in those places the rate of housing growth and employment is getting higher. America love for suburb is a real problem. If the number of suburbs continues to increase and the amount of cities remain constant then we might see a slow development in future compared to other country.
