  1. This was a very insightful video. One quote that really stood out was " The American dream, this is an f***ing nightmare." I think this quote is completely accurate because for a lot of Americans they cannot achieve the old American dream and the opposite has really happened because they thought they would be able to have a house until the bubble burst....

  2. This is a very sad video. Some of the pictures are very hard to look at. Especially since I live very close to Detroit I see streets of foreclosed homes all the time. Neighborhoods knocked down and basically turned into fields. Hopefully the American dream can one day be dreamt about again.

  3. wow, this was a striking video. "We may be stupid, but they're guilty." I agree with him. The housing crisis was set up to take advantage of those who lack sufficient knowledge in the field, and let the few benefit from the other side. I believe that it's a cruel business.

  4. What stood out to me was the woman's quote when they were showing Detroit, when she said, "Foreclosure and eviction is spiritually wrong. People deserve, through their constitutional rights, to have a home." I understand that a lot of people were mislead and lied to, and maybe this is just an example of confusion carrying over from the whirlwind of problems. We read how banks lack emotional understanding when it comes to foreclosures, but with the number ever-increasing and the banks losing more and more money, there is no time to get attached. Especially when they face potential penalties if they take to long to carry out the foreclosure process. People do not like hearing the truth. They hide from it, but if payments cannot be made then foreclosure happens. It is sad, especially when people cannot control what caused their situation, but it is reality.
