The sliver lining we talked about some time back seems to be getting bigger. More jobs being created by big companies. Now we need to slow down on the layoffs. But it seems we are on the right direction.

  1. This is great news. Especially for college students looking for jobs out of school. Yes, layoffs need to go down and so does unemployment. The more jobs we create, the more spending people will enquire which means our economy can start getting on track again.

  2. This is nice to hear. I would like to see the list of companies who have increased their workforce. The reason people focus on small businesses is to promote innovation since America has been an innovative country. I don't know how much impact small businesses can make to reduce unemployment, but they will definitely add great financial value to the country.

  3. In addition to what Samuel and Brandon have said, I think a lot of this comes from a change in mindset and culture. More and more people are starting to realize the importance of spending in order to stimulate the economy and supporting local businesses in hopes of sustaining their own small towns. This trend is sure to continue as it is clearly working and is the key to getting the economy back on its feet.
